Jack Du Brul is the author of numerous thrillers, and he has also collaborated with Clive Cussler on the New York Times bestseller Dark Watch and the upcoming Skeleton Coast. Du Brul was educated at the Westminster School and holds a degree in international relations from George Washington University. He lives in Vermont with his wife, Debbie.

A sweeping adventure! Another Mercer winner.

Philip Mercer has become one of my favorite characters, and this adventure is another in the series, perhaps the most involved plot so far. Mercer is asked to look into the collapse of a mine outside of Las Vegas, only to find things are far more complicated than a mine collapse. Numerous attempts are made on Mercer's life, and he meets a beautiful stranger, the woman, Tisha. Enigmatic, beautiful, dedicated, intelligent, Mercer realizes in Tisha he has an unusual find. This book has it all. A hidden oriental order that can predict catastrophic future events. Politics. Intrigue. Even romance. All in a quickly moving, yet highly believable plot. Very enjoyable, with an end that will move you.
